Wolf Hill 89.3
Wolf Hill 89.3 is the official station of Holiday Landscapes. This is a year round micro broadcast station, playing seasonal music during holiday times, and a very eclectic mix during the off season. When you are near the display, just tune your car radio to 89.3 FM. I love to play a lot of music you won't hear any place else.
FAQs
1) Is this station legal? Do you have a license?
Yes, it is legal, and no you don't need a license. Part 15 of the FCC rules allow consumers to broadcast on the broadcast FM band without a license, as long as they keep the output below a certain level, and they don't interfere with licensed stations.
2) But what if you are interfering with a station I'm trying to listen to?
Let me know right away! If I am interfering, I want to correct it as soon as possible. You can find out how to reach my through the contact link at the top of the page. Thanks!
3) How much power is your station putting out?
The transmitter that I am currently using puts out about one tenth of a milliwatt. Compare that to the commercial stations that can put out thousands of watts.
4) How far does your transmitter reach?
The FCC rules limit the output of the signal to 250 microvolts per meter. That limits the signal to about 200 feet from the antenna to an average receiver. More sensitive receivers, like those found in cars, can hear the signal up to 400 feet away.
5) I don't live within 200 feet of your house, but I'd still like to listen to your station. Do you have an Internet stream?
Unfortunately, not at this time. I'd like to have one, but I can't commit to the monthly payments for royalties and stream hosting right now. It's something I'm looking into for the future though. Even the cheapest option will cost about $200 a year, and that will be limited to 10 listeners. And what money I have is stretched thin at the moment. Now, if someone wants to donate the amount needed for the station, I'll get the web broadcast up and running right away! :-)
6) Who is that doing the voice over for your station?
That is Kevin Dunn, also known as "The Demented Elf." He offers his voice for hire for Christmas displays that are synced to music. He also works on other projects such as small radio stations and other projects where a professional voice is needed. If you have a project than could use a voice, and your looking for a great price and amazing service, give Kevin's site a visit at

7) What music do you play?
I play almost anything! I play popular rock from the 80s to present, Country, Techno, New Age, Native American, Trance, Humor, and even music from video games. I prefer playing music by independent artists. There are a lot of great songs not heard on commercial radio. During holidays, I also play themed music.
8) What holidays do you play music for?
I play music for Christmas, Halloween, St Patrick's Day, and the American patriotic holidays.
