Holiday Landscapes made the paper & Rain again

ChristmasThis morning, not only was the Holiday Landscapes Christmas display in the paper, but it was on the front page of the Stoneham Sun! Hopefully this will help get some donations for "Operation Santa Paws." If you would like to read the full article, Click Here

It's too bad, the day the article appeared in the paper, the display got rained out. And the conditions probably won't be favorable to running the display right through Friday. I'll do my best to keep things running, but the rain always knocks out the Ground Faults. You can always check if the display is operational in the left hand column under "display status."

Other than that, keep those donations coming! There are too many animals in shelters, lets give them the best Christmas we can. It would be even better if you could open up your heart and your home to one of these animals, giving it the best Christmas present possible.

Christmas 2008

ChristmasMore details will be coming soon, but I wanted to let everyone know that the 2008 Christmas display is up and running. You can see it every night (except when it is raining) from 5:00 - 10:00 PM. We are located at 83 Franklin Street at the corner of Pearl in Stoneham, MA.

This year, starting December 1st, we will be collecting for Operation Santa Paws. Please bring a toy or treats for shelter cats and dogs so they too can have a merry Christmas.

Another Year Down

ChristmasThe 2007 Christmas display is done for this year. Thanks to all who stopped by. Now it is time to start taking it down. I'll be posting some photos and videos of this years display in the coming weeks. This was an unusual year. I've never seen that much snow before Christmas, parts of the display were almost totally buried. The display was down about five nights due to rain, and I almost lost the last night too. My new protections I added prevented a lot of Squirrel damage. Though they still managed to do some damage, it wasn't too bad. On top of everything else, one of my cats got very sick just before Christmas, and that has really brought my mood down. He is doing much better now, but has a long road ahead of him.

I hope everyone has a great New Year. Stay tuned for the Valentines Day Display!

Sorry

ChristmasMy apologies to everyone who came to see the display between 5:30 and 8:00 on Christmas day. It looks like I screwed up on the scheduling, and the animations were not working. I was at a family members house for dinner, and came home at 8:00, and found the display was not working right. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused for anyone who drove over to see my display. I'll be sure it is working every night from here on. If anyone who came by during those hours wishes to see it, but won't be around during the normal running hours, don't hesitate to contact me, I'll be happy to light it up at an odd hour.

Still up and running

ChristmasThough we have had a lot of snow, the Christmas display is still up and running. Though there is a snow bank near the driveway blocking part of the view, everything is lighting, and it looks great even with so much snow. I'm happy that it didn't get completely buried. I may have a problem getting the display down though in January. This could make the Valentines display interesting.
